In my decade and a half of working within the world of luxury hospitality and executive coaching, I have interacted with some of the most brilliant minds in the region from various industries. These are CEO’s of multi-million shilling companies who can cut huge deals with a single signature. However, some of these same leaders struggle to move a room with their voice.
In the modern corporate environment, talking is not enough. Leaders need to inspire their teams and audiences into taking decisive action.
The Three Hurdles of Executive Presence
Through my work with InspireSpeak, an organization that I recently founded and my journey as President of SEMA Toastmasters club, I have identified three specific hurdles that keep high-achievers and emerging leaders from reaching their full potential:
- The Clarity Gap: Many of these executives have brilliant strategies but lack the narrative arc to make others care about it.
- The Presence Paradox: A leader may be the most senior person in the room yet their presence is not felt. They fail to command the space.
- The Human Disconnect: Focusing so much on “professionalism” that they strip away the empathy and vulnerability that actually builds trust.
Speak to Inspire
This is why I launched the ‘Speak to Inspire with Princess’ podcast. My mission is to empower leaders and executives with skills to bridge the gap between technical expertise and “The Human Element.”
Whether I am moderating a panel of industry titans or coaching an emerging CEO, my philosophy remains the same:
Your voice is not just a tool for information; it is a catalyst for transformation.
